At Allianz Partners, any personal information you provide is used by us, and our agents, to evaluate, arrange your travel insurance and administer your and our rights and obligations in relation to the insurance services. This includes managing, processing and investigating claims.

This personal information may be disclosed to (and received from) third parties involved in the above process, such as travel consultants, travel insurance providers and intermediaries (including AMP), authorised representatives, reinsurers, claims handlers and investigators, cost containment providers, medical and health service providers, legal and other professional advisers, your agents and our related companies. The use and disclosure of such personal information will be provided to third parties for the purposes stated above.

When you give personal information about other individuals, we and our agents, rely on you to have made or make them aware:

  • that you will or may provide their information to us;
  • the types of third parties to whom the information may be provided;
  • the relevant purposes we and the third parties will disclose it to, will use it for; and
  • how they can access it.

We rely on you to have obtained their consent on these matters. If you have not done or will not do either of these things, you must tell us or our agents before you provide the relevant information.

You can seek access to and correct your personal information by contacting Allianz Partners at Level 2, Allianz House, 1 Byron Avenue, Takapuna, Auckland 0622. If you do not agree to the above or will not provide us with personal information, we may not be able to provide you with our services or products, may not be able to process your application or issue you with a policy. In cases where we do not agree to give you access to some personal information, we will give you reasons why.

AMP insurance is issued and managed by AWP Services New Zealand Limited trading as Allianz Partners and underwritten by The Hollard Insurance Company Pty Ltd ABN 78 090 584 473 (Incorporated in Australia) ("Hollard"). An overseas policyholder preference applies. Under Australian law, if The Hollard Insurance Company Pty Ltd is wound up, its assets in Australia must be applied to its Australian liabilities before they can be applied to overseas liabilities. To this extent, New Zealand policyholders may not be able to rely on The Hollard Insurance Company Pty Ltd’s Australian assets to satisfy New Zealand liabilities.
